VOTING PRECINCTS IN WARD 20 



ACCORDING TO 



NEW DIVISION MADE BY AN OEDER OF THE BOARD 
OF ALDERMEN, APPROVED BY THE MAYOR 
APRIL 9, 1902.

In Board of Aldermen, April 7, 1902. 
Ordered, That the present division of Ward 20 into voting 
precincts be hereby changed, and a new division of said ward 
be made as authorized by chapter 11, section 162, of the 
Revised Laws, the °ame to be constituted, numbered, and 
bounded as follows : 

Precinct 1. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Greenwich and Freeport streets ; thence 
by the centre lines of Freeport street, Dorchester avenue, 
Romsey and Sydney streets and Crescent avenue, to the 
centre line of the location of the Old Colony system of the 
New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad; thence by 
said centre line of location to its intersection with Columbia 
road ; thence by said Columbia road to the Harbor Commis- 
sioners' line; thence by the Harbor Commissioner's line to 
Greenwich street extended ; thence through the centre of 
Greenwich street extended to the point of beginning — 724 
voters. 

Precinct 2. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Dorchester avenue and Thornley streets 
thence by the centre lines of Thornley, Pleasant, Stoughton 
and Salcombe streets, Cushing avenue, Jerome and Hancock

street^ and Columbia road to Edward Everett square ; thence 
through the centre of East Cottage street, Crescent avenue, 
Sydney and Romsey streets and Dorchester avenue to the 
point of beginning — 756 voters. 

Precinct S. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following* described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Dorchester avenue and Hancock street ; 
thence b) the centre lines of Hancock, High, Church, Bow- 
doin and Quincy streets, Columbia road, Hancock and 
Jerome streets, Gushing avenue, Salcombe, Stoughton, Pleas- 
ant and Thornley streets and Dorchester avenue to the point 
of beginning — 717 voters. 

Precinct Jf. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lmes of Greenwich and Freeport streets ; thence 
by the centre lines of Greenwich street, Dorchester avenue, 
Ellet, Adams, Robinson, Draper, Longfellow, ToplifT, Bow- 
doin, Church, High and Hancock streets, Dorchester avenue 
and Freeport street to the point of beginning — 696 voters. 

Precinct 5. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Dorchester avenue and Charles street; 
thence by the centre lines of Charles street, Geneva avenue, 
Tonawanda, Greenbrier, Bowdoin, ToplifT, Longfellow, 
Draper, Robinson, Adams and Ellet streets and Dorchester 
avenue to the point of beginning — 714 voters. 

Precinct 6. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Bowdoin and Washington streets ; thence 
by the centre line of Washington street to the centre line of 
the location of the Midland Division of the New York, New 
Haven & Hartford Railroad ; thence by said centre line of 
location to its intersection with the centre line of Quincy 
street; thence by the centre lines of Quincy and Bowdoin 
streets to the point of beginning — 747 voters. 

Precinct 7. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Elmo street and Blue Hill avenue ; thence 
by the centre lines of Blue Hill avenue and Quincy street to 
the centre line of the location of the Midland Division of 
the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad ; thence by 
said centre line of location to its intersection with the centre 
line of Washington street; thence by the centre lines of 
Washington, Erie and Elmo streets to the point of begin- 
ning — 769 voters.

Precinct 8. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line: Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Talbot and Blue Hill avenues ; thence by 
the centre lines of Blue Hill avenue, Elmo, Erie and Wash- 
ington streets to the centre line of location of the Midland 
Division of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad; 
thence by said centre line of location to its intersection with 
the centre line of Talbot avenue ; thence by the centre line 
of Talbot avenue to the point of beginning — 782 voters. 

Precinct 9. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Washington street and Talbot avenue ; 
thence by the centre line of Talbot avenue to the centre line 
of the location of the Midland Division of the New York, 
New Haven & Hartford Railroad ; thence by said centre line 
of location to its intersection with the centre line of Wash- 
ington street ; thence by the centre line of Washington street 
to the point of beginning — 736 voters. 

Precinct 10. — All that part of said ward lying within the 
following described line : Beginning at the intersection of 
the centre lines of Dorchester and Centre avenues ; thence 
by the centre lines of Centre avenue, Centre, Washington, 
Bowdoin, Greenbrier andTonawanda streets, Geneva avenue, 
Charles street and Dorchester avenue to the point of begin- 
ning — 700 voters.
